Skilled Nursing Employee Charges with Sexual Assault
Cross Creek Township Police Chief Casey Robinson confirmed Daniel Cawthorn, 66, of Wintersville is suspected of having engaged in sexual contact with a resident at the Dixon Healthcare Center.
Robinson said the nursing home’s staff cooperated with the investigation that led to Cawthorn’s arrest, but he couldn’t comment further at this time.
The case against Cawthorn is pending in Wintersville county court, where Cawthorn is slated to appear for a preliminary hearing on Monday.
Called for comment, officials with the Dixon Healthcare Center said they can’t comment on ongoing investigations.
