In honor of Nurses Week 2016, Pedagogy would like to offer all nurses a free continuing education course dedicated to teaching nurses to take time out for a little self-care.

Healing the Healer
Nurses give of themselves daily in large quantities. Yet, as experience has shown us they are the least likely to take care of themselves. To be in a position to care for others in a loving, healing way the provider must first look to their own needs. In this online continuing education course author Jill O'Hara will share all that she has learned about self-care, wellness and creating a life of balance. Learn simple and effective tools that you can use daily to improve your well-being. Explore what holds you back from caring for yourself first. Objectives
Upon completion of this course the participant will be able to:

- Describe areas where personal self care needs attention.
- Answer the three questions that begin the self discovery process.
- Complete a simple visualization session.
- Complete a simple meditation session.
- Explain the properties of essential oils.
- Explain two uses of Lemon, Lavender and Peppermint Essential Oils.
