Georgia Nurses NEW Continuing Education Requirements
CONTINUING EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS FOR LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSES
Effective March 31, 2017, all licensed practical nurses will be required to complete twenty (20) hours of continuing education as a condition of licensure renewal. Licensees who renew in March 2017 must satisfy one of the options between April 1, 2015 and March 31, 2017. Effective January 31, 2016, all registered nurses will be required to complete continuing education/competency requirements as a condition of licensure renewal. Georgia law provides five options from which licensees may choose in order to satisfy the continuing competency requirements. REPORTING CNE COMPLETIONS
Licensees should submit all continuing education documentation to CE Broker. You may also visit CEBroker.com to see a list of approved education providers.
HOW DO I REGISTER WITH CE BROKER?
Go to CEBroker.com and click "Account options." Select "Georgia" and register for the account of your choosing. You can register for a free Basic Account with just your license number. The Basic Account will let you report, see your current Compliance Status, and search for courses. You may opt to use CE Broker's paid service but it is not required.
Once you have created your account and logged into the system, click "Report CE" and find the option that best applies. You will need to answer a few questions and then attach the documentation that the Board requires. If you are using your mobile app, you can take a picture of your documentation and upload it via your phone or tablet.

Remember, do not forward your CE documentation to the Board. All documentation should be sent to CE Broker. The Board will now review your records in CE Broker electronically when conducting renewal audits.
PEDAGOGY EDUCATION APPROVED BY THE GEORGIA BOARD OF NURSING
Pedagogy education courses have been approved by the Georgia board of nursing and are advertised on the CEBroker website. Pedagogy will report course completions within 30 days of completion, to CEBroker so you don't have to. Just remember to put an accurate Georgia license number on your Pedagogy personal dashboard.
