Rachel Pugmire, RN, BSN

Rachel Pugmire is a registered nurse, health writer, and mom. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Brigham Young University in 2018, with a minor in gerontology, where she was a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society. As a registered nurse she has experience in emergency medicine, pediatrics, and pharmaceutical clinical trials. Prior to becoming a nurse, she worked as a certified nursing assistant in home health. As part of her studies she traveled with the Kennedy International Center to Guayaquil and Quito, Ecuador where she gained global and public health experience.

She is passionate about combining her nursing knowledge and experience with her writing skills to provide up to date, research-based, informative content for readers, including healthcare providers and readers of non-medical backgrounds. She has experience in health journalism, writing health articles and blogs, and authoring continuing education courses.

Rachel lives in Utah and her greatest passion is raising her busy, spunky children.
