Pregnancy and Diabetes

An online diabetes course for nurses is an essential part of training. Women can face several health challenges throughout pregnancy, including dealing with a concurrent diagnosis of diabetes. Prior to becoming pregnant many women have type 1 or type 2 diabetes, while others are first diagnosed with diabetes when their pregnancy is confirmed. Diabetes is one of the most frequently occurring medical complications during pregnancy occurring in 3.3% of all live births.
