Parenteral Nutritional therapy has become an increasingly important part of patient care in long-term care facilities. Patients with a variety of diseases and disorders will benefit from parenteral nutrition when the patient is no longer able to maintain adequate oral intake. This course will describe parenteral nutrition including indications, types of formulas, complications, and care of the patient receiving parenteral nutrition.
