Margaret Wright, RN, BSN

Margaret Wright, RN, BSN, has more than 30 years of experience in the medical field, starting as a tech in a variety of roles, then, working as an RN in a variety of settings. She now brings her broad range of experience to assist in writing educational materials for nurses.

Margaret started out as a tech in central supply and sterilization and decontamination, and later became a hospital telemetry tech, home-health aide, and nurse’s aide in a long-term care facility.

After obtaining her BSN and RN,  Margaret moved with her baby daughter to Philadelphia, and she has been living and working there ever since. Her first job as an RN was doing mother-baby home visits in underserved communities in the city. She then moved on to a community health clinic and worked there with patients of all ages, from newborns to adults.

After several years in the clinic, Margaret moved to a busy adult medical-surgical unit in an  urban teaching hospital, and later, to an oncology hospital, taking care of inpatients with complications of cancer, and often administering chemotherapy and biotherapy.

In 2017, Margaret sustained a knee injury that precluded working at the bedside. After some soul searching, she decided to devote her time and energy to developing a small business writing for nurses and other medical professionals, as well as for patients. She has written patient-facing summaries of research articles and has also written on various topics for medical and nursing education companies.
