Continuing Education Requirements: 
Renewal requirements for RNs and LPNs: Must be 20 contact hours within the last renewal period. Must be related to the practice of nursing. At least 10 of the 20 hours must be formally peer reviewed and approved continuing education. Up to 4 hours may be CPR or BLS courses

IV Certification Information: 
Hourly Requirements for LPN IV Course State Board of Nursing Must Approve Course Special Course Requirements Course(s) Suggested for LPN IV "Certification" Special Provisions
Not Specified No Didactic course at least 8 hour minimum. Course must include legal aspects of IV therapy, content on central and peripheral IV lines.  "Basic Peripheral IV Therapy in Adults" and "Current Practices in the Management of Central Lines" See link below "Update on LPN-C and the new LPN Law May 2017"
