Sexually Transmitted Infections: Overview and Treatment

In a press release by the CDC in January 2021, new data estimated that on any given day in 2018, 1 in 5 people in the United States had a sexually transmitted infection (STI). In that same year, another study estimated that there were approximately 67.6 million cases of STIs in the United States, with almost half of those occurring in people 15 to 24 years of age.

STIs are easily preventable with proper education. This course will equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge necessary to educate patients on the transmission, symptoms, and treatment of STIs.
