Resident-Centered Care in Long-Term Care Facilities

This course explores the foundational principles of delivering individualized, compassionate care in long-term care settings. This course introduces caregivers, healthcare professionals, and long-term care staff to the philosophy and practice of resident-centered care—an approach that honors the preferences, values, and unique life experiences of each resident. Moving beyond task-oriented care, this model emphasizes collaboration, dignity, autonomy, and quality of life.
