This course will provide participants with an overview of the challenges nurses face in establishing streamlined and effective interprofessional collaboration in a healthcare setting to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction. This comprehensive course can be utilized for nursing staff throughout all healthcare settings and experience levels as these barriers to establishing streamlined and effective interprofessional collaboration efforts can apply for all. Within this course, the participant will review current interprofessional collaboration challenges across our nation, explore current challenges with interprofessional collaboration that affects nursing staff performance and patient outcomes, learn about current collaboration solution initiatives to improve collaboration, communication and streamlined care practices, discover ways to advocate for improved interprofessional collaboration within your healthcare organization, examine how to identify barriers to safe and effective interprofessional collaboration, and learn how to create a culture of change among all members of the healthcare team.
