Maureen Sullivan-Tevault, RN, BSN, CEN, CDE
Maureen graduated nursing school in 1981 and has spent her years in the Emergency and Trauma field, including nursing positions as the Emergency Department Manager, Director of Staff Education, Trauma Coordinator, Cardiology Nurse Navigator, and Stroke Program Manager. In addition, she has also been certified as both a BLS and ACLS instructor, and adjunct faculty for an LPN nursing program. She is a legal nurse consultant, working on personal injury, nursing negligence, and product liability cases. Maureen has written nursing articles for the following journals: Nursing Spectrum, ADVANCE for Nurses magazine, and The Journal of Emergency Care, Rescue, and Transportation. She also has a monthly diabetes column in the online journal, Health Triangle Magazine.
Maureen also does stand up comedy and now performs at many corporate events, fundraisers, and health conferences. Her unique background enables her to deliver both entertainment and education from the stage.
An accomplished author, Maureen also published her first book, Never Again: From Horror to Humor, My Life as a Nurse, available on her website, www.maureensullivanRN.com, in 2012. As of 2022, Maureen has published 4 books, available on her website as well as Amazon.com.
Maureen is nationally certified as a CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) CDCES (Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist) and CIMHP (Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional).
