Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)

The purpose of this continuing education course is to inform and educate healthcare providers with the factors surrounding the many issues affecting the chronic lung patient. This course will familiarize the healthcare provider with the diagnosis process, educating the patient on drug options, monitoring the physical response to their treatments, and give the healthcare provider information about the rehabilitation options for the COPD patient.

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

  1. List the factors of the clinical and pathophysiological progress of COPD.
  2. Differentiate between chronic bronchitis, emphysema, and asthma.
  3. Recall the diagnosis and treatment factors for the COPD patient.
  4. Present rehabilitation options to the COPD patient.
